I thought I’d pop in and do a bit of a refresh on what’s been happening in my small corner of the world.

I’m eating chocolate as I write this and it makes me wish the publishing process was half as easy to consume. . .that should speak for itself on how well it’s going.

My progress is slow, but nonetheless exciting.

My cover artist is nearly finished—-he’s been so patient with me and has been working hard. I’m very excited to see updates as he adds the last few details. He’s captured exactly what I pictured for my cover.

At the moment, I have three friends reading through The Scars We Bear. Their main goal is to review and offer critique where they see fit. Once they give feedback, I will take TSWB through its final draft.

I’m experiencing some writer’s block due to stress. And I’ve been in a reading slump since November. . .however I still enjoy reading my own story no matter how many times I’ve read it before. (You guys, i ThiNk I haVe A Big hEaD). I’ve been working slowly on Book 2. . .it’s chaos at the moment, but at least I can say it’s “good” chaos. I’m excited to share updates.

The last steps I need to take before publishing: commissioning a cartographer to make a map of my world, formatting, and finishing the cover design.
