What if life was easy?
Nil of every worry and task
What if the sun grew brighter?
Giving us more light in which to bask

What if war didn’t exist?
Life would be a blessing, not a curse
What if we could visit the future?
Would it be better or far worse?

What if animals could talk?
They’d have many stories to share
What if the moon cried silvery tears?
We’d give our lunar friend such care

What if we’re all wrong?
Never having ever been right
What if mistakes weren’t made?
We’d never lie awake at night

What if we were all born perfect?
No corrections or makeup needed
What if people loved without condition?
No person ever going unheeded

What if we lived under a purple sky?
We’d gaze at the lavender dome so near
What if the world was peaceful?
Lacking the things we all doubt and fear.
